Pedigree

I was kind of shock when Jet delivered her latest litter of seven puppies. As the third one came out, I orginally thought something was wrong with him. He didn't look alive and the colour though it was very dark was a different shade of 'black' than his littermates. When Viviane called to see how the delivery was going, I didn't know what to say except that we had a special bundle in this litter. When she realized that everything was OK (he was healthy, nursing, breathing, ect.) she then wondered what I meant when I said he was different. I finally found the courage to let her know that the colour was different but I just couldn't quite put a word for the right color. When Viviane came to visit the pups at three weeks of age, even she had a hard time to describe the colour. It was only when GrisGris arrived at about four to five weeks of age that I could tell he would really be the silver grey boy I had always wanted. Of course there was no 'if' and 'but' about it, GrisGris was going to stay at our kennels.

For those of you who might be wondering about his registered name 'Presque Noir' that means 'Almost Black' in English!
